hey ya all!!..have read enough bout the positive impact of Facebook?..i know you guys really enjoy reading it..but guys..do ya know that Facebook also has its downsides?...hurmm..if you dun know..or act like u dun know..u better read tis..now let me share some wif u...

NEGATIVE IMPACT OF FACEBOOK

New media like the Internet are contributing negative influence to the social networking users in the entire of the world. Here we are going to talk about the results of using a FACEBOOK in our lives.

Mark Zuckerberg might be right; people probably are becoming more comfortable telling the world at large about more and different parts of their lives.
There are too many disruptions leading to the changes in most of the FB users. Here are several problems that arouse from the FB usage:

1. TIME WASTING AND ADDICTING

Most of us are seem prone to spend most of the time surfing the internet for FB. Yes! FB takes time, often a lot of time! You might not realize that person could be you or your friends. You could spend hours for:
  • chatting
  • messaging

  • playing games

  • surf for music
  • look for your friend’s pictures

  • approve new friends request

  • update new status all the time

  • comments your own wall or your friends wall

  • post music video to your wall

  • joining group

  • stalking people

  • hacking into accounts

  • getting to much involved with unknown people

  • swap gossips

  • and etc.
FB is quite addictive. Once you get started, you won’t stop. You will find yourself checking it everyday and every minute. You will be just busy doing your things on FB and neglecting what you are supposed does and not supposed to do.

2. CHILDREN / TEENS ARE TOO YOUNG TO BE USING FB

The greatest motivating factor for children to use the FB is none other like the adults; is to connect to others and peers or just let us call it to socialize. FB are all uncontrollable. Listed down here are the consequences for children when they use FB:
  • This child will have no credibility to mingle in a real world out there because they lack of social skills.
  • Children are increasingly turning to making relationships and building relationships online.
  • They are often naive and easily manipulated.
  • FB scams that targeting teens in their social networks are almost 1000’s. Children/ teen do not know how to differentiate who is a friend or foe. They are easily tricked into accepting friend request.

3. FRIENDING IS JUST A VERB

Not just teens or children are easily give way to strangers , adults also exposed to this misleading activity. Some people like to have 5,000 friends without thinking the consequences. They like to show off to other people that they have a lot of friends (which is only you know that you aren’t a famous artist who have friends like this). Feelings like a ‘hot shot’ out there aren’t going to bring you anywhere because you have to remember friend is not just a friend and friending is not just a verb, you need to get to know who is your friend and your friend true colors.

4. STALKER
Your profile page is full of information about you; who you are, where you work at, what is your favorite music, your favorite movies, books and TV series, what are your religious and political beliefs, your studies and your interests. As a matter of fact, you share too much information with other people, who are totally strangers. Some FB users take higher risk than you and put on their home addresses and phone numbers on. This is probably how stalkers find their way home without needing to chat first. There was off course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. It was conceivable that they watched everybody all the time.

5. ACCOUNTS ARE PHISHED

You don’t know how valuable your personal information is and how that personal information is used. People should consider what information they are letting out about themselves and to whom. Before you can access some pages, they ask permission to access your account information. Watch out guys! Don’t simply give your information especially when you have been asked to. Also the same if you’ve been scam to click your own email link taking you to the fake login pages. By doing this they have easy access to your bank and credit card accounts because they know that most of the people use their combinations of their birthday or children name as passwords. You cannot protect your pages through FB because the data may be accessible through other routes like Google.

guys....i think... better stop here for now..so..my question is...have u change ur mind bout the Facebook?..if u dun....pls wait for more info bout the 'bad' side of Facebook from me again....xoxo...
