Wrapping All Up

Finally, we are here now to summarize everything we did in the past few weeks.

After all we posted, you can see that Facebook is like a coin. It has both good and bad side. In fact, I personally think that anything can be harmful if moderation is not practiced. As a rational creature, we just need to know when to log off. Though, Facebook do contributed a lot of social issues today, I shall not deny it but I wished to propose you this, think twice. Everyone has to take up responsibility for own actions. No one to be blame.

So, my group and I have already given you every kinds of influences that Facebook can bring to us. Positive impacts have to continue be implemented to our society whereas its negative influence should be avoided. As a wise consumer or user, we must know what is best for us. Please, make the right choice for your own sake..

To be honest, I am a huge fan of Facebook. I found my relevance in using Facebook. So there's a quote I would like to share with you. "The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time" by Bertrand Russell British author, mathematician, & philosopher (1872 - 1970)

This is my last issue that contributes to Facebook impact;

6. FACEBOOK ALSO ARE MEDIUM FOR CREATING SOCIAL PROBLEM:

Suicide notes are common in society these days, but the adaptation of social media has taken a morbid turn.

the span of a few weeks, two Malaysian youths committed suicide after revealing their intentions on Facebook:

Alviss Kong, 22 year old Malaysian guy, had jumped off from a 14-floor building committing suicide after leaving a 45 minute countdown message on Facebook. The sad news had made to the headlines of local newspapers. It is believed that Alviss made the decision after breaking up with his ex-girlfriend of 4 months. A FB note is believed to be the last message of Alviss.

In a separate incident in February, a 17 year-old high school student jumped from the second floor of her school a few days after she posted on Facebook that she wanted to take her own life.

Eighteen-year-old Rutgers University freshman Tyler Clementi took to the popular website Facebook to post a goodbye suicide note-like video message on his personal account page.

Act cool to cruelty

I don’t know why this kind of people could do such thing and like to share it with other people. Why? Does it look COOL? NO! When uploading something like this other people may immitate the same action.

Student Commits Suicide Because of Being Bullied

Friend or foe? If they are nasty to u, don’t call them friend. Some students like to post bad things on FB. To these people they don’t know what they did will make other people’s life miserable.

hey ya all!!..have read enough bout the positive impact of Facebook?..i know you guys really enjoy reading it..but guys..do ya know that Facebook also has its downsides?...hurmm..if you dun know..or act like u dun know..u better read tis..now let me share some wif u...

NEGATIVE IMPACT OF FACEBOOK

New media like the Internet are contributing negative influence to the social networking users in the entire of the world. Here we are going to talk about the results of using a FACEBOOK in our lives.

Mark Zuckerberg might be right; people probably are becoming more comfortable telling the world at large about more and different parts of their lives.
There are too many disruptions leading to the changes in most of the FB users. Here are several problems that arouse from the FB usage:

1. TIME WASTING AND ADDICTING

Most of us are seem prone to spend most of the time surfing the internet for FB. Yes! FB takes time, often a lot of time! You might not realize that person could be you or your friends. You could spend hours for:
  • chatting
  • messaging

  • playing games

  • surf for music
  • look for your friend’s pictures

  • approve new friends request

  • update new status all the time

  • comments your own wall or your friends wall

  • post music video to your wall

  • joining group

  • stalking people

  • hacking into accounts

  • getting to much involved with unknown people

  • swap gossips

  • and etc.
FB is quite addictive. Once you get started, you won’t stop. You will find yourself checking it everyday and every minute. You will be just busy doing your things on FB and neglecting what you are supposed does and not supposed to do.

2. CHILDREN / TEENS ARE TOO YOUNG TO BE USING FB

The greatest motivating factor for children to use the FB is none other like the adults; is to connect to others and peers or just let us call it to socialize. FB are all uncontrollable. Listed down here are the consequences for children when they use FB:
  • This child will have no credibility to mingle in a real world out there because they lack of social skills.
  • Children are increasingly turning to making relationships and building relationships online.
  • They are often naive and easily manipulated.
  • FB scams that targeting teens in their social networks are almost 1000’s. Children/ teen do not know how to differentiate who is a friend or foe. They are easily tricked into accepting friend request.

3. FRIENDING IS JUST A VERB

Not just teens or children are easily give way to strangers , adults also exposed to this misleading activity. Some people like to have 5,000 friends without thinking the consequences. They like to show off to other people that they have a lot of friends (which is only you know that you aren’t a famous artist who have friends like this). Feelings like a ‘hot shot’ out there aren’t going to bring you anywhere because you have to remember friend is not just a friend and friending is not just a verb, you need to get to know who is your friend and your friend true colors.

4. STALKER
Your profile page is full of information about you; who you are, where you work at, what is your favorite music, your favorite movies, books and TV series, what are your religious and political beliefs, your studies and your interests. As a matter of fact, you share too much information with other people, who are totally strangers. Some FB users take higher risk than you and put on their home addresses and phone numbers on. This is probably how stalkers find their way home without needing to chat first. There was off course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. It was conceivable that they watched everybody all the time.

5. ACCOUNTS ARE PHISHED

You don’t know how valuable your personal information is and how that personal information is used. People should consider what information they are letting out about themselves and to whom. Before you can access some pages, they ask permission to access your account information. Watch out guys! Don’t simply give your information especially when you have been asked to. Also the same if you’ve been scam to click your own email link taking you to the fake login pages. By doing this they have easy access to your bank and credit card accounts because they know that most of the people use their combinations of their birthday or children name as passwords. You cannot protect your pages through FB because the data may be accessible through other routes like Google.

guys....i think... better stop here for now..so..my question is...have u change ur mind bout the Facebook?..if u dun....pls wait for more info bout the 'bad' side of Facebook from me again....xoxo...

THANK YOU !!FACEBOOK ♥

I'm back!!!

Today, let's me continue sharing the positive impacts of Facebook ya~:)

Well, according to you know, recently many people like doing small business at home, which is commonly known as SOHO(small office home office). SOHO, published their own goods on the Facebook, and try to take advantage of the facilities offered from Facebook, for example, marking / tagging friends of them, and let everyone know their business. This is the people's intelligence and benefits of Facebook to open the opportunities for trying a small business at home. Do not have to spend any money to help their sales pitch. Cannot be denied, Facebook users can not ensure the credibility of the business that offered of SOHO are how high. However, this is a truly that brings a lot of convenience to social. According to some statistics, some of SOHO business in Facebook monthly income can hit to thousands of ringgit. This means that Facebook is not only for us to connect with others but also bring a hope for those friends who are facing unemployment problem.

In addition, many businesses also use a strength of Facebook, which is to have the majority of users. They use it to advertise for their products. Is not difficult to find many famous businesses/brands such as clothing stores, cosmetics, and some Online games have ads in Facebook. These ads help Internet users to get the latest inf
ormation news in the shortest time. As the saying goes:not to go out, will knows world affairs. We do not have to spend any cent to get the latest and most reliable source from Facebook. This is the power of Facebook! !

Having brought about the positive impacts of Facebook to busi
ness. Let's talk about the benefits for us.
I believe that Facebook fans know that we are able to own our upcoming events such as: birthday parties, school reunions, weddings and so on and post on Facebook to make their friends choose to attend, not to attend or may attend. What can i say is , Facebook really brought us many advantages. Just like that example, we can be prepare and follow-up in shortest time for just according the responses from friends which show in Facebook. Or we can learn quickly of the attendance for able to re-arrange a more appropriate time for any events. These are convenience that Facebook give us .
Just thin
k about it, if less of these benefits, we have to text/SMS or telephone for any notification one by one, how troublesome and a waste of money?!

SPECIAL thanks to the
Facebook founders--Mark Zuckerberg
.
Without You,Without FACEBOOK.
I LOVE YOU & I LOVE FACEBOOK too~♥

Yes!!! Facebook are benefit for all of US!!

As all of us know, Facebook is a social networking service that we can form a network by inviting our friends. And from which we form a networks, from Facebook we can consider their activities, following the games, add friends, or our network of schools based organizations, local and beyond our domicile.

Since its release to the public on September 26, 2006, now Facebook has been the social networking with the most users in the world. According to official records of Facebook, they currently have to attract about 500 milion active users. Where 50% of that number using Facebook every day.

Below are some interesting facts from Facebook:

-The average user has 130 friends on Facebook.
-There are more than 45 million update the status every day.
-Each month, there are 2 billion photos uploaded to
Facebook.
-70% of
Facebook users are outside the United States.

Here are some some Positive Impacts from Facebook based on my observation :

*Positive Impacts from Facebook:

1. Strengthen Hospitality
This probably is the usefulness of Facebook the most we can feel. Even with Facebook, we can find the back of people we have ever known in the past.

2. Knowing Potential
In Facebook, there are many useful quiz to find out more about who we really are. However, we also must be careful, because some quiz in Facebook contained in an element of prediction that is banned in Islam.

3. Media Campaign
Clearly, Facebook can be used as a media campaign, you can promoting your Product, Service, Agency, or other things. In fact, at Yesterday's legislative Elections, Some candidates are also using Facebook for the media campaign.

4. Facility discussions
OnFacebook, you can join the various communities/groups which you are interest on it.

5. Places that you can Share and Solve Problem
Sometimes, you get a problem, then you update your status on Facebook with the problem you face, and if someone cares, he/she will leave comment on your status and help you to solve your problem.

6. Enlarge your society and knowledge
Facebook users can come from any country, any place. You can gain a lot of knowledge from all around the world by Facebook.

Are You A Facebook Lover?

Are you as what mentioned above?

How frequent do you Facebook?

What do you love about Facebook?

Are you aware that you already obsessed with Facebook?

No idea?

Well, tonight we shall determine if you are a Facebook addict.

Ever since Facebook is launched, it has became the world famous social networking site. Indeed, it is a culture now, a trend. It's like everyone is Facebook-ing and is very rare to find that someone who doesn't has a Facebook account. Most of the people you know does Facebook right? You will considered uncool if you doesn't own one. As far as I know, there is no age limitation to Facebook. It can be your friends, colleagues, relatives, parents or even grandparents. It's just the matter of being an active or a passive user only.

Everyone is talking about Facebook EVERYWHERE! In fact, we are so familiar with Facebook that the term of "Facebook" itself has became a common word among us. So when you start Facebook-ing?
I started since years ago, hardly remember the exact year though. Back then, the popular social networking was Friendster. After Facebook is opened to the world, Friendster was abandoned behind. Most of my friends do have a Facebook account. I don't like being the one left out. So I created mine and my Friendster account is barely alive now.

How frequent do you Facebook? 3 times a week? 3 times a day? or 3 hours per day? For your information, I Facebook everyday. Yes, I love Facebook-ing. I love it until the extend that the first thing I do whenever I get excess to internet, is login into my Facebook account. Honestly, I don't have that kind of habit before I came to university. I don't even realize when has this started and I feel uneasy if I don't Facebook.

My university's friends are examples of active member. I guessed that's one of the reasons why I'm addicted to Facebook. Keeping track with friends is the most common thing to do in Facebook. You get to post your current status on Facebook and your friends can either comment about it or like it ( a link to click on LIKE). In a way of stalking on others, we called it. This is what I normally do. Don't you? Other than that, tagging photos is also a fun thing to do. You either get tagged in others' photo album or tag people in your photos. This make photos sharing easier without needing to transfer the photos to one another. Besides photos, video is available to tag too! I actually recorded a video of fireworks during New Year celebration and tagged each of my friends as a 2011 New Year present for them. Awesome right?

Applications such as games, giving gifts, greetings and many more attracted people to continue active in Facebook. I personally not a fan of those kind of applications. Basically, I just love to update my current status, keep track with my friends' status, exploring their photos and chatting with them. By doing this, I can stay on Facebook for hours.

I did my survey by posting a question on Facebook. This method is really effective, efficient and easy. I got my question answered in no time. You can see it through the time below each of the comments.

My question goes like this:

Hey peoples!!! I need every of your comments. Kindly leave one for me. I really appreciate if you do. Thanks!! =)
So,
Why do you Facebook?

Keeping up with the trend. People announce everything on facebook. assignment deadline, meeting, pen down their feelings etc etc.
And get connected with long lost friends.
Some ppl lazy to send you the pictures, so they use the "tagging" advantage.

If you do, congratulations! You are now officially a Facebook addict.
